How to Install YMWhatsApp
If you want to install YMWhatsApp for the first time, then you must follow a series of necessary and important, but at the same time very simple steps, which we explain below:
- Make a backup in WhatsApp (Menu > Settings > Chats > Backup and here click on Save). Google Drive backups do not work in any WhatsApp MODs.
- Uninstall the WhatsApp or modification that we have installed (Highly recommended to do it through Google Play).
- Enable the option to install applications from unknown sources. Depending on the version of Android you have it will be done differently:
- Android 5.1 to 7: Activate the option “Install from unknown sources” or “Unknown sources”. It is usually in Phone Settings > Security.
- Android 8 or higher: Go to Device Settings > Applications. Here we look for the application from where we are going to install the downloaded APK, any device manager, and in advanced settings we click on Install applications from unknown sources and activate the option. NOTE: Clicking on the APK to install also gives us the possibility to go to settings to activate this option.
- Download the latest available version.
- Click on the APK download and follow the typical WhatsApp installation steps, such as accepting its terms and conditions, verify number, restore backup and set our profile picture and name.
- Finally, when it asks us how often we want to send backups to Google Drive, choose NEVER.
- You already have it installed.
If what you want is to update YMWhatsApp, it is much easier, just download the same package you have installed on your device and click on it, no need to uninstall or verify anything.

To download YMWhatsApp APK 2023 we have 2 different packages or APKs; the com.whatsapp package we will download to install the application as the main number of our WhatsApp account, while the com.ymwhatsapp package we will use to install the application as a secondary number (we need an extra SIM).
