WhatsApp for Android activates emojis search

We already have new beta version of WhatsApp for Android, specifically it is the version 2.17.238. An update whose main novelty is the appearance of the emojis search, a function that remained hidden in the application and finally has been activated, yes, only on some devices. In my case, in two devices installed gives error when trying to look for some emoji, i don’t know if it will be a particular error of mine or general.

The operation of the emojis search is really simple, as you can see in the screenshots when clicking on the emojis we will see the option to search (magnifying glass in the lower left). If we click on the magnifying glass we can write the type of emoji we need, for example content, angry… and in the top we will see the emoji of the search we have done.

Internally we can say that it follows the constant work of the company, and is that the installation file of WhatsApp for Android has increased by 53 KB, with 488 files modified, 1 icon removed, related to the real-time location to be replaced for the new animation that was added in previous versions, and 1 new icon added, which seems to be the action that we see when pressing to add a Text Status.

As we have already mentioned, the company continues to work on the hidden functions it has already implemented, and today the emojis search feature has been activated, but we are still waiting for others such as Text Status, real-time location,  filters of multimedia files and recall feature, whose FAQ has already been published on the official WhatsApp website.
