If rumors of a new stable version of WhatsApp arrived this morning, now is the time to talk about the new beta version of WhatsApp for Android. Specifically it is the new version 2.12.226, an update with few apparent changes, but there are, but with many internal changes.
Many of the functions that are implemented but disabled and hidden, such as real-time location, revoke sent messages, the emojis browser and the new video call interface are still not activated, but a new feature has been added to comment .
WhatsApp Android activates spam reporting to groups
Internally the APK installation file of WhatsApp for Android has experienced an increase of 5 KB compared to the previous version, with 274 modified files and a new file added, the file “contact_info_report_footer.xml”, thanks to which we can observe the new added function: Report spam in groups, as you can see in the screenshots above.
What we do not know for sure is what happens if we report a group as spam, particularly I have done the test in a group and for now nothing has happened, but will they close the group or block all the contacts in the group reported ?. Be careful and watch out for this new function.
