WhatsApp for Android is updated to version 2.17.228

We already have new beta version of WhatsApp for Android, in particular it is the new version 2.17.228, an update without apparent changes, and where the new call and video call interface was deactivated, in addition to more colorful icons, which was deactivated remotely a few days ago.

Will come the reply shortcut from iOS to WhatsApp for Android?

If a few days ago WhatsApp for iPhone updated its stable version with the reply shortcut, simply swipe right in any message to quickly reply to it, now the version of WhatsApp for Android could also implement this new functionality.

And that internal WhatsApp APK has increased by 15 KB, with 308 files modified, 1 file deleted and 1 file added called “message_reply.xml”, which could mimic the WhatsApp version’s Reply Shortcut feature for IOS.
